Picturesque Couture
2:34:00 PMTo public fashion knowledge, last week, a few fashion shows took place in Paris. Notable households like Versace, Karl Lagerfeld's very own Chanel and Fendi, Elie Saab and even Christian Dior all displayed their Couture Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 collections through spectacular runaway demonstrations...
As an "e-viewer" (one who follows up the shows through different social media networks), I was able to see greatness with each brand. One show that was truly impressive to me was the Viktor and Rolf presentation. A word to describe what they had to offer would be ART.
Everything was extremely unique about their designs, as always. Models wore pieces that could be mounted on walls. I know you are probably wondering how that works... Here you take a view for yourself.
Perfection.... perfection... perfection..... I have never seen such an artistic showcase yet. Since the show, I have been beating myself up over how much I wish I was able to witness it in person. Each ensemble was different. Although they were trimmed with gold frames, the two fashion geniuses were able to portray exactly how they could be worn as garments. Whether it was a skirt, dress, or coat... the flawless, distinct articles represented diversity.
I truly believe Viktor and Ralph are paving a new era in fashion... For their several past shows, they have been able to consistently and powerfully describe how fashion and art unite. Again, I insanely adored all of the high fashionable designs that they generated this season.
Now the question is, who will be the first star to rock a masterpiece from this collection.... I'm expecting it to be someone who never disappoints and always has a iconic fashion moment. Someone like Lady Gaga, or even Rihanna, who sincerely appreciates fashion and inspires others through their style would wear an outfit that replicates a classical painting. I will surely be waiting for when they decide to make such a statement....
