5 Fashionable Halloween Costume Ideas

The spookiest and most exciting (besides Christmas, New Years, and all other holiday's except St. Patrick's Day and Valentines Day ... because I suck at love) time of the year is here! Although I am the girl who usually doesn't have anything planned, I have so much anticipation for October 31st. Regardless of the fact that I'll most likely be in my living room, watching Netflix, I will also certainly enjoy seeing everyone's unique costume picks. Halloween to me is like a Met Gala extravaganza. Costumes fascinate me so much... Whether it's something scary, stylish, or simply a hot mess, it's pure entertainment looking at what everyone chooses to be each year. Social media today allows me see all this, while I'm comfortably laying on a fluffy pillow, so I cannot thank the internet enough.
Every year people tend to creatively step out of the box... And no I am not talking about the basic girls that draw cat whiskers on their faces (I can't even offend anyone because I did this one year before.) I honestly wished I was given a chance to be imaginative with a costume this year as well but again, I was not invited to any parties and trick or treating is practically non-existent in my neighbourhood. I instantly thought about giving my special ideas to you guys... because why the heck not! Here are a few FASHIONABLE Halloween costume ideas that you may want to try this season.
1)
Opt to a be fashion figure. This is the definitely most stylish you can be.
A legend like Karl Lagerfeld is the ideal person to dress as when talking about fashion and costumes. Wear a simple classic black pant suit and deck out in Chanel. Wtih his signature white hair and accessories representing his brand, there is no way you can go wrong.
A first lady is always classy and fashionable. This vintage costume idea is perfect for any girly girl. A pink two piece skirt suit along with gloves, a purse and pumps is a must.
Marilyn Monroe was always a star... especially for the way she dressed. If you wish to dress like the diva, find the most flirtatious skater dress and once again, accessorize. Red lips with a distinctive mole right above it, peep toe pumps, a scarf and a curly blonde wig is all you need to achieve her look!
Feel like a true fashion figure dressed up as the one and only Anna Wintour. With a twill fabric dress, cape coat, and oversized sunglasses, you have the right outfit. Complete your look with a short blonde wig featuring a sharp front bang and you are literally her for the evening.
2)
Have some fun impersonating a memorable fashion moment.
Miley Cyrus is as fun as it can be. Her "twerking" look at the 2013 VMA's is something no one will ever forget. Relive that moment with a quirky cat bodysuit just like hers, a pair of white creepers, and red lips. Add a foam finger to your outfit and place two little buns at the top of your head if you feel a bit more daring
Any time Gaga is in the street is actually remarkable. Her outfit choices never go unnoticed therefore, this idea is very simple. Once you have a wig like hers, platform boots, a pair if chain shades and a microphone, you cannot go wrong.
If imitating her iconic VMA's purple outfit is bit too much for you, another fashionable moment by Lil Kim was in her "Crush On You" video. Blue, blue and more blue. A short wig, knee high boots, a body suit, and fluffy coat either different shades or the same hue is all you need.
Remember when Britney Spears had the wildest performance ever and brought a snake on stage while singing "Slave For You"? You can do the same. Try your best to copy her look wearing green and blue with lots of embellishments. A snake thrown around you is definitely a must.. whether its real or fake....(Seriously if it's real, don't say you got the idea from my tips.)
3)
If you are fashion-movie freak just like I am, dressing up as a character should be cool for you.
What is more fashionable than an outfit like Audrey Hepburn? As seen in the film, "Breakfast At Tiffany's" she makes the best out of little black dress. Elongated gloves, pearls, brooches, and a cigarette holder are the absolute props.
My favorite movie of all time HAD to . By watching this and the video for "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX, you should not find it difficult to mirror a Cher Horowitz outfit. Be a fashionable school girl in a trendy yellow pleated plaid skirt, knee high white socks, a soft cardigans, and black platform pumps.
The fashion extrodinaire Cruella De Ville is the master piece of a costume. Black, white and red are the go-to colors. With an exquisite wig like hers, a fluffy printed coat and red lips, you can conquer the look of the 101 Dalmatians star.
Halloween may or may not fall on a Wednesday but wear pink and feel apart of Mean Girls cast. Anything pink can do. Again, go for the ultimate school girl appearance and you've got a costume.
4)
If you love fashion and you are very artistic, this idea would be particularly for you. Have some fun creating a costume that looks like a designer perfume bottle or handbag.
5)
A black swan, kitten, or bunny isn't basic once you style it up. Incorporate lace and you should look fab!
I hope these ideas were helpful. If you are last minute and would like to use them for this year, be sure to take photos and show them to me. If you'll wait until next year, I hope we don't have the same look because I'm sure I will be dressed as one of these if I somehow have "plans".
