Trend Report: Off-The-Shoulder Obsession

An endless trend this spring has been the flirty off-the-shoulder design. Nothing has been more modernly retro and chic with a hint of sexy since this trend surfaced the fashion scene again. I say again simply because this look has been around since the 70's. Even if you didn't have a "made to be" an off-the-shoulder piece, some once found themselves pulling down the loose neckline of any blouse or dress to achieve the look and here we are, repeating the stylish trick this season.
The trend can be easily named one of my favourites. You can see it anywhere! Ever since designer brands like Tanya Taylor and Proenza Schouler showed them off on the runways during S/S16 fashion week, I knew it would be a hit. Baring a little shoulder and collarbone seems to the be the most suitable and fashionable thing to do for now and I'm loving it!
Today, some are incorporating the design with other features like voluminous ruffles or tied strings while others are tailoring illusional pieces with detachable billow sleeves. Off-The-Shoulder silhouettes expose just enough to wear the statement earrings or neck-piece you've been dying to put on. See how else you can style it with these inspirational sets I made:
Give a cold shoulder in a fitted crop top, airy blouse, sultry frock or even a jumpsuit. Summer is near so I'm definitely making it a closet staple.
