Fashion Review: Billboard Music Awards 2016

9:00:00 AM

Hosts doing outfit changes, ensembles grazing the carpet, and music stars all in attendance? No, I'm not talking about the 2015 AMA's.... It's the 2016 Billboard Music Awards! Unfortunately, I did not catch the show on Sunday night (I haven't gained the time to watch yet either) but I definitely got the fashion run down from a few social media outlets so I had to do this review. The host, Ciara who assisted Ludacris may have stole the show with her looks but there were a few others that join her. Here's my list of best dressed:

Demi Lovato wore a distinct chic outfit.... If she lost the gloves, I'd be completely sold but other than that, I'm here for it.

Kelly Rowland appeared like an absolute goddess in a silver jewel coated floor sweeping gown.

Kristen Bell's look was simple but definitely not boring. The navy scalloped trim on her sleek black jumpsuit kept it enticing.

Mila Kunis was another one who opted for an embellished piece... this dress, short and cute.

Actress Lucy Hale styled in lace. The black and purple combo was actually favourable.

Easily put, Zendaya rocked it in nude!

Fifth Harmony was in formation draping beautiful black gowns.

Rihanna had me for a bit. It was all about the shoes. Her dazzling Manolo Blahnik mules truly brought out the vintage brown Mugler blazer frock she decided to slip into.

Setting a standard for fashion during the event, Kate Beckinsale showed off in an ensemble by Hamel.

So much about Laverne Cox's look was stunning.... The Michael Costello design with its lacy detail at the bodice and sleeves, her ravishing body, and even the accessories.

Idina Menzel certainly had one of the best all-black attires... arriving in an elegant sparkly panelled mesh number and platform heels.

Rachel Platten posed in a black & gold striped pants suit with a bandeau top underneath. Her pointed toe pumps and box clutch were the sole accessories but it came together well.

Couples alert! Rapper Ludacris & wide Eudoxie had their fair share of a fashion moment. Her effortless black figure hugging garment paired with Alaïa sandal heels complemented his Giorgio Armani suit.

Keke Palmer stepped out in a dangerously fascinating berry toned latex dress by House of Harlow with statement heels.

Jenn McAllister came to the festivities in a long sleeve black romper designed with a sexy plunging neckline to accompany her sultry red lips.

It's Britney! The queen of pop shined a light on the carpet in a delicate colored sheer bodycon dress dripping a little shimmer.

Sereyah left no room for failure in two similar but stylish looks!

For the males, Ty Dolla Sign kept it casual but spiffy with his outfit.

Trevor Jackson sported classic black and white.

No stranger to the best dressed list, Nick Jonas caught my eye with the grey plaid chinos styled with a plush navy leather biker jacket and the Damn Daniel slip ons.

Winning for both talent and fashion, The Weeknd!

Singer Shawn Mendes dressed for the occasion in a formal suit but completed it with an easygoing edge in suede boots.

Co-host Ciara took a page from Jennifer Lopez's book and had a wardrobe that varied. She turned heads in items crafted by Naeem Khan, Phillip Plien, Roberto Cavalli and more! 7 different looks, 7 hits! From metallics, to a regal velvet burgundy hue and the alluring black, she mastered it all.

I'm hoping to watch the show very soon, but for now, the great fashion has given me my dose of award show interest.
