Fashion Review: MET Gala 2016
9:33:00 PM
The annual Met Gala style was nothing short of spectacular! The event is always one of the most exciting fashion wise and the 2016 red carpet arrivals truly proved that point. The theme
this year sparked a light for some…. And I mean literally. “Fashion In An Age of Technology”
impelled stars to step out in designer ensembles that could create a huge new
era in fashion by incorporating machine illusions. The most talked about look was
Claire Dames who stole the show by embodying every element of the theme in a Zac
Posen gown crafted with light bulbs…. Yes, light bulbs in a dress meant the masterpiece glowed in the dark. It was astoundingly breathtaking.
In addition, here’s who joined the list of my favorite looks:
Naomi Campbell wore a beautiful floor length sparkly dress with sexy cut-outs.
I fell in love with this color blocking ensemble on Miranda Kerr. The outfit consisted of a number of contemporary trends and she worked it perfectly!
The gorgeous Kate Hudson arrived in a distinct white design by Atelier Versace which truly depicted the theme.
Stylish with a baby bump, Olivia Wilde rocked a black embellished frock with a very edgy metallic cuff neck piece attached to it.
Rita Ora posed in an epic feather covered silver gown... What a statement look!
This darling, Margot Robbie opted for a simple white Calvin Klein dress and made very great use of chic accessories.
Something about actress Kristen Stewart's look was actually fascinating. Maybe it's the dramatic hair and makeup or her chic Chanel sheath.
An absolute doll! Zendaya posed in a sleek glistening gold gown.
Hannah Davis attended in a stunning embroidered garment. She looked extremely elegant.
Another plastered in sequin was Lara Stone. So ideal!
Young star, Amandla Stenberg scored in a maroon hue pant suit. Something we didn't see much of during the night.
Satin goddess... Amber Heard flawed a sensational confection.
Hailey Baldwin kept it groovy in a flashy two-tone striped dress modelled with a high side slit.
Rachel McAdams served red carpet realness in a gold sheer long sleeve number.
Hollywood Diva, Kate Upton looked oh so divine in another shimmery item.
Poppy Delevingne wore an exquisite design by Marchesa.
Rosie Huntington-Whitley was rather classic donning Ralph Lauren.
Thought it would only be one pant suit look until Alexa Chung came in a fabulous set encrusted with silver jewels.
Ciara dressed in H&M and kept her look fashionable and theatrical.
Lily Rose-Depp didn't shy away from her usual midi frocks to complement her petite physique but still manage to grasp the exciting theme.
Taylor Hill effortlessly showcased an airy black dress with its halter neckline.
Ofcourse it wouldn't be an event without the black and white mixture. Emily Ratajkowski went for a hot appearance.
The Jenner sisters easily made it to the best dressed list.
This brother & sister duo didn't fail to look snazzy as well.
Models are always in the spotlight at the Met. This year, these babes killed it!
The couples came to slay also! Literally each of these ladies exuded the theme alongside their fashion-forward beau's.
Speaking of dandy men, the males arose to the occasion making my favorites list almost as long as the ladies. Also wont hide the fact that half of them are my MCM's... Guess who!
And that's a wrap. It would be absurd not to cover the gala fashion this year. I was amazed through out it all.
