Personal: Why I Love Spring

1:43:00 PM

You've probably learned much about me if you keep up on here, and this week I'm spilling another fact..... Spring is my favorite season. Many wonder "why not summer, when schools closed for a while?" or "why not winter, when you can get tons of Christmas gifts?" but my strange love for this time of year goes beyond those things. March, April and May are the months I look forward to the most for several reasons. Despite my allergies giving me a hard time, I enjoy this period so much and here's why:

  1.  Fashion: Ofcourse this post wouldn't be on here if I didn't speak a little about fashion. Trends around this time are always the best to me. Brands and stores start to debut their S/S collections and I have a field day obsessing over beautiful creations. Alluring pastel and bright shades are rocking, prints are a hit, and cool fabrics are must haves. I love that it isn't quite the moment to throw out your trench coats but it's also fine to wear a piece that isn't too warm. You can mix it up and play around during the spring! It doesn't get better than that....

2. Festivals: I'm always down to have a good time and festivals seem to be the place to do exactly that during the spring. The biggest festival we all know, Coachella takes place and it's pretty fun to hear the buzz about it each year. I'll be blogging about what went down this year in my next post. One festival that I'm currently able to attend is Carnival which is being held in my hometown next week. The massive soca fest occurs annually! It's a cultural event I'm super excited for and I cannot wait to tell you all about this year's experience.

3. Weather: In the spring, it isn't too hot or too cold, the climate in just right in many regions. When I'm in the Bahamas, in particular, it's the perfect weather. There may be some April or May showers but it's refreshing for me. It's usually the most relaxing temperature to go out and explore the tropics or even enjoy a day at the beach which is one my favourite past times.

4. Spring Break: It's definitely not the longest period to be away from school but it can sometimes be the wildest! Spring break is the time most teens decide to vacation or enjoy with friends, and I joined the number this go around. It was a little work for me but lots of play. I had a grand time at home attending a business meeting and a few concerts. Business definitely meant meeting with my ShopTheCC mates! While back to back weekends, I saw Charlie Puth and DNCE live at the Atlantis.

5. Nature: Believe it or not, I'm a nature freak... certainly in the spring! It's the most fascinating thing to me seeing an array of eye catching flowers bloom all at once. Cherry blossoms, bougainvilleas, and lilacs are literally the prettiest shrubs just to name a few... They bring absolute vibrance to the streets and every time I'm outdoors during the day, it's basically a picturesque moment that I fall in love with.

6. My Birthday: It would be silly to think I didn't like the season that my birthday falls in. I'm a May baby... May 2nd that is (Yes, it's approaching in a few days!) and each year I find the best way possible to celebrate which makes the month extremely fun for me.

I guess I finally gave some sort of clarity as to why I adore spring so much! Comment your favorite season and if we're sharing spring, be sure to let me know why!
