Fashion Review: MTV Movie Awards 2016

If Damn Daniel can make it to the MTV movie awards, I've got a bright future ahead... I think that's the most I got from this year's red carpet arrivals. Other than the fact that Halle Berry made a spectacular comeback and there was actually awesome fashion all around. I didn't watch the show last Sunday. I must admit, the movie awards never really captures my attention but the style stuck out to me in some way. Celebrities marked the event as another one for the book as they trickled out in designer ensembles... Most being black! Yep, this one surely joined the list of "black-out" award shows but nothing changes the fact that most stars looked phenomenal. There was a popular grunge theme going on during the evening but some wanted to be different in peculiar outfits. From repeated frocks to oh so trendy jumpsuits, here's a rundown of my favorite looks:
Charlize Theron wore a lacy black long sleeve sheer shift which was perfectly embellished and completed her look with simple black sandal heels and a box clutch.
Model Cara Delevingne showed off in a fitted and chic Balmain jumpsuit designed with mesh cutouts.
Kat Graham channelled her inner Beyonce.... literally. She showed up in a vintage number Queen Bey once wore on the carpet but looked pretty nice after all.
Quirky and cute! Emilia Clarke posed in a printed garment paired a very distinct graphic purse and metallic shoes.
Kendall Jenner flawlessly displayed lots of skin in a laced up, halter, high -low dress made with ruffles and gave a lot more edge in thigh high strappy heels.
Brittany Snow selected all-red for the night and slayed in a plunging piece.
Teen Wolf star Holland Roden also popped up live and in color wearing a cobalt blue outfit.
Not a fan of this Teen Mom star, particularly, but I can't deny how glamorous Farrah Abraham was donning a sparkly black and gold gown.
Carrie Keagan gave a cool spin on classic black and white in a jumpsuit with boned details and an attached collar.
Halle Berry made an appearance for the first time in a while.... She obviously got the "wear black" memo and she looked incredible.
Renee Bargh broke all the rules by not featuring even a spec of black and brought some light to the carpet in an all-white Natalie Chapman pant suit.
Glistening on the scene as well was the beautiful Katie Stevens in a grey, black and white masterpiece.
Daisy Ridley effortlessly rocked a monochrome Alexander Wang item from a recent collection.
Nargis Fakhri gave everyone a run for their money in the highly favored color combo sporting a geometric netted midi skirt and a black bodysuit.
These are some other ladies that posed fashionably in black....
I also couldn't leave out the show stopping couples that came out... Actors Zac Efron and Kevin Hart both looked fly beside their comparably stylish ladies.
I didn't expect much from the movie awards this year but I'm happy that I saw a considerable amount of modish looks to cover in the end.
