Fashion Review: Kids Choice Awards 2016
9:15:00 PM
After all the award shows I didn't get to actually watch this year, surprisingly, I was able to catch the Kids Choice Awards on Saturday night. Being able to sit and view it with my little brother was bitter sweet. I reminisced over the days I was excited to see my favourite stars get slimed, now I'm just interested in what everyone is wearing. I must admit, the fashion wasn't an upset at all. Despite the fact that I had no clue who many of these "new kids on the block" were, most of them had amazing looks. This award show was the perfect kick off for the spring season. Style at the Kids Choice Awards is usually fun and full of life. Rather than being elegant and dressy, those that walk the orange carpet lean more over to casual, trendy, and youthful... which is expected. Here are my favorites this year:
Pretty brown girl, Skai Jackson nailed it in a mauve colored Gucci pants suit. I couldn't believe she's only 13! She took the risk of wearing a mature outfit choice and looked amazing doing so.
One who's basically familiar with having great style, Bethany Mota opted for a chic black jumpsuit with side cut outs.
Zendaya got an award for the night and wore a vintage haute couture design.
Debby Ryan had a classic look in a little black dress and metallic pumps but added a bit of excitement with her graphic clutch.
Actress Brec Bassinger styled a BCBG halter top with a striped skirt crafted with a cape. On her feet were strappy Christian Louboutins. This outfit was very well put together!
Paris Berelc flaunted in a sexy olive green fitted midi dress.
Bright and radiant, Chloe Bennet showed up in an orange skater garment, pairing it with the ideal snake skin printed pumps.
Lizzy Greene kept it preppy in a peach and white shift made with a peter pan collar and bell sleeves. She rocked it with ankle strap heels and an embellished clutch to compliment.
Ofcourse someone had to have a little bit of sparkle! Kira Kosarin dazzled in a sequinned white frock and completed her fit with pretty accessories.
Sarah Hyland sported a cool set. The flowy shorts matched her varsity bomber jacket.
Haley Tju posed in an effortless ruffled floral ensemble.
What would a spring commencing event like this be without pastel hues? The gorgeous Kalani Hilliker arrived in silky pink separates.
Another dancer, Chachi Gonzales went for an animated aesthetic! She made a lime green turtle neck play-suit stand out even more by holding a quirky 'milk-shake' shaped chain cross-body purse while she walked in furry sandal heels.
Sweet and romantic, Sydney Park was also on the scene in floral apparel, arranging the piece with tassel heels.
Festive, festive! Courtney Sixx mastered a colorful look.
A top ensemble of the night for me was on model Chantel Jeffries. I loved the fact that she creatively wore a sheer turtle neck long sleeve top underneath a figure hugging Versace jumpsuit.
Keke Palmer appeared funky in a wicked red-orange leather midi sheath. I wasn't admiring the messy hair but I definitely was feeling the designer heels and the layering denim jacket that was decked out with misfit-inspired badges.
Lady in white! Kendall Vertes dripped the soft brilliant color from head to toe.
Renee Bargh was in a attendance showing off a lacy scallop trimmed Asilio smock.
This doll, Dove Cameron never misses the chance to put on a mini. She didn't disappoint with the bold print.
Best dressed males for me were these fellas that looked nothing short of snazzy.
Everyone seemed to dress appropriate for the KCA's. The thrill of the show was certainly equivalent to the delightful fashion sightings.
